Follow Every Instruction for a Perfect Baby Cast

Note: Make Sure that your baby should be in Deep Sleep during the process because baby has to keep the hand or feet still for 2-3 minutes for perfect impressions.

  • Step 1: Mix the Alginate Molding Powder

    Fill the bucket up to the mark inside the bucket with a clean RO water (Make sure not to over fill from the mark inside the bucket). Now add an alginate molding powder in water.

    Stir the mixture thoroughly with the help of whisker for approximately 60 seconds. Now the mixture will start turning yellow, be ready to dip your baby hands or feets. (make sure not to delay, as it will start getting harder )

  • Step 2: Create the Mold

    Insert baby hands or feet into the mixture and keep it still for 2-3 minutes (keeping in mind your hands should not touch the bottom or sides of the bucket and don‘t move your hands while dipped in)

    The mixture will become hard after 2-3 minutes. Now slowly start removing your hands one by one from the mold.

  • Step 3: Mix and Pour the Casting Powder

    Now take a separate bowl and add 50ml of RO water in the bowl. Now pour one pouch of the casting powder in the water and mix well for about 60 sec to 80 sec for a smooth and lump free consistency.

    Pour the casting mixture into the mold, filling it to the top. Then tap on the bucket from all sides for 30 sec.

    Allow the casting mixture to set according to the recommended time, typically 80 minutes.

  • Step 4: Remove the Cast

    After 80 minutes take the mixture out from the bucket and start peeling it. (Be patient to avoid breakage)

    Use sticks and sandpaper to smooth any rough edges or imperfections.

  • Step 5: Display and Cherish

    Get creative! Paint the casting, add initials, or use other decorative elements to make it uniquely yours.
